Zhengzhou, 19 May 2017- PwC China officially announced the opening of Zhengzhou office today, marking the establishment of the 22nd PwC office in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. The establishment of PwC Zhengzhou office is a further testament of the firm’s dedication to its Purpose of “building trust in society and solving important problems” and commitment to delivering professional services of the highest value.
Deputy Commissioner of Henan Ministry of Finance Pang Xuemeng and the provincial, municipal, district government officials and officials from Henan University of Finance and Economics, Henan University of Economics and Law and the Business School of Zhengzhou University, PwC China and Hong Kong Markets Leader Frank Lyn, PwC China Zhengzhou Lead Partner Bur K Chan and client representatives attended the opening ceremony at Zhengzhou Kineer Centre today.
Henan province is both the centre and a node along the Silk Road economic belt, the golden junction of the latest national "Two-horizontal Three-vertical” urbanisation axes, and one of the seven newly established free trade zones in China. Henan is China’s fifth largest economic province and has enjoyed stable economic growth. As the capital city and political, economic and cultural centre of Henan province, Zhengzhou is one of China’s central cities, as well as an important strategic transportation hub, connecting Longhai/Beijing-Guangzhou railway and the future M type high-speed railway lines and Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone. The establishment of PwC Zhengzhou office will accelerate Zhengzhou and Henan province’s integration into the global economy, improve the corporate governance of local enterprises, speed up their strategic transformation, and enhance their competitiveness.
