Hong Kong Capital Investment Entrant Scheme Update

May 2006 繁體中文版

The Hong Kong Immigration Department has recently announced that starting from 15 May 2006, the dependants of capital investment entrants admitted into Hong Kong no longer need prior permission before taking up employment in Hong Kong.

Previously, dependants of the capital investment entrants were not allowed to work in Hong Kong unless they have the Director of Immigration's permission.

Under the new policy, those dependants, who are currently banned from working and would like to work in Hong Kong, may apply to remove the restriction from 15 May 2006 onwards.  Otherwise, they can wait to have their restriction cancelled when they apply for, and are granted, extension of stay upon the expiry of their current stay period.

Our Personal Financial Services Group would be most pleased to assist your dependants in these applications.
