Danny is the China National M&A Tax Leader of our China and Hong Kong Firm and is a partner in the China tax and business advisory division. Danny has over 20 years of experience in the China tax and business advisory field. He works closely with his national team in other major China offices in M&A tax due diligence, deal negotiation support, tax restructuring and post-deal integration services for foreign investors in China.
Danny performed PRC tax due diligence on the landmark majority stake acquisition of a domestic bank in China allowed for the first time to a foreign private equity in China's post-WTO era. Danny is also the Champion of our WTO advisory services and has been advising our MNC clients on WTO market entry strategy and corporate restructuring. Danny is also an active speaker in M&A related China regulatory and tax issues and WTO related topics.
Danny obtained his Master of Business Administration Degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in the U.K. and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and associate member of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Institute of Company Secretaries. He is also a committee member of the China Legal and Tax Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Trade & Investment Committee and the Taxation Committee of American Chamber in Hong Kong as well as a member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Danny also contributes many tax papers to the journals of the above professional institutions, local newspapers and business journals.
