David Brown has been a partner in PwC's Hong Kong office since 1997, having transferred from PwC UK to Hong Kong in 1994. He has specialised in M&A advisory, financial due diligence, and corporate and debt restructuring advisory since his arrival in the territory. David currently leads PwC's Hong Kong and Southern China Transactions practice. David has extensive experience of advising companies, governments and financial institutions on their investments in China and Hong Kong not only in terms of acquisitions and divestments; but also in relation to restructurings and optimised exits from distressed situations. He has much experience in the automotive, real estate and retail sectors. He also has specific expertise in distressed asset due diligence, such as non-performing loans and troubled companies, and is an expert in corporate and debt restructurings having acted as principal advisor on the largest debt restructurings in China, Hong Kong and elsewhere in Asia. David attended and presented at the inaugural PwC Restructuring Program at Harvard Business School in 2004. He was also a speaker at the London INSOL conference and has lectured on corporate restructuring methodologies and strategies in countries throughout Asia and in Africa. |
