Edward is a tax partner based in Beijing with more than 20 years of tax consulting experience. Before moving to Beijing, he was a tax partner in PwC Hong Kong practising China, Hong Kong and Canadian taxes.
For the past ten years, he has focused his interests on China taxation matters and has extensively advised multinational corporations on taxation and regulatory issues in the PRC. He has provided high value-added tax consulting services to multinational corporations on complex PRC tax issues related to infrastructure and construction projects, real estate development, automobile and consumer goods industries.
He is also experienced in advising on tax issues related to Mergers and Acquisitions in China.
He has developed close connections and relationships with the tax authorities in many major cities in the PRC and at the central government level. He is a frequent speaker at tax conferences and regular contributor to taxation journals on current Chinese taxation issues.
Edward is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is Vice President of the China Tax Society in Hong Kong as well as Council Member of Beijing Taxation Institute.
