While we focus on taking care of our people and their families, at PricewaterhouseCoopers, we also believe in giving back to the communities from which our people come.
Globally, in 2007 we contributed an estimated 218,000 hours of volunteer work and donated more than US$33 million to non-profit making organisations around the world. In addition, we provided 150,000 hours of free or heavily discounted professional services and community leadership hours.
Our diverse involvement in the community ranges from the support of charity sports events, environmental protection, to the fight against poverty. In the aftermath of the Sichuan earthquake, we created a relief fund that assisted the Lifeline Express volunteer programme to move 38 tonnes of medical supplies to the area.
