About Performance Improvement:
     
Our Performance Improvement team helps clients improve the cost, effectiveness and efficiency of their operations.  This solutions-based service helps clients solve a diverse set of operational issues by utilizing our deep understanding of finance, risk management/compliance, IT systems, operations and human resources.  The unique resources contained within the practice have proven expertise and provide a hands-on approach to business problems - and can be deployed rapidly to address crisis-based issues.

Job description and responsibilities: 
 
The Senior Associates/Managers in this team would be expected to participate in the active growth of five key practice areas:

  1. Finance + Accounting - working closely with clients to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their financial operations including back-office realignment;
  2. IT Effectiveness - ensuring that IT resources are aligned with overall business objectives;
  3. Risk and Compliance - designing, building and implementing infrastructure, processes & tools to identify, measure, monitor & control risks (including financial, non-financial and regulatory risk);
  4. Post-deal Services - assisting clients with operational due diligence, integration and divestiture; and
  5. Operations - assisting clients with improving core operations including procurement and shop floor.

Reporting structure and key relationships: 

  • Associates and Senior Associates report to Managers/Senior Managers of the firm.
  • Managers and Senior Managers report to the Directors and/or Partners of the firm.

Requirements:

  • A good bachelor degree from a top tier university;
  • Degrees in economics, accounting, business or finance preferred;
  • Three to eight years' relevant work experience, e.g. audit, management consulting or IT consulting experience in a top tier audit or consulting firm and/or relevant operational experience in industry;
  • Consulting mindset and experience;
  • Multi-national and/or cross-border project experience an advantage;
  • Knowledge in financial modelling and costing an advantage;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities;
  • Excellent teamwork and inter-personal skills;
  • Self-motivated; and
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
