Malcolm is a Transaction Services partner based in Beijing. Malcolm is primarily responsible for performing financial due diligence for, and advising foreign direct investors with, China M&A transactions, with particular focus on North China. Malcolm has advised on a number of transactions in a variety of industries including telecoms, IT, automotive and property management.
Prior to moving to Beijing Malcolm was based in Hong Kong for 10 years where he spent the majority of his time advising lenders to, or management of, companies in financial difficulty. Malcolm has played a significant role in several of the largest corporate restructurings (each with debts in excess of US1bn) in Hong Kong and China. His distressed debt expertise resulted in Malcolm leading acquisition reviews of a number of NPL portfolios in Hong Kong and China. |
