Nova Chan is a partner in the Advisory Division of PricewaterhouseCoopers in China. He currently focuses on corporate finance and valuation services in Mainland China.
Nova has over 17 years extensive experiences in investment, M&A and valuation consulting and involved in a number of large investment projects in China. He has followed through all the key phases of the investment process such as opportunities identification, deal structuring, feasibility study, financial and operational due diligence, business planning, asset and business valuation, drafting and reviewing contracts, registration and capital contribution, asset/personnel transfer, reorganization, mergers and acquisitions, liquidation. He also involves in arranging private placements, IPO listings and reverse take-overs for China projects.
Nova has led numerous large-scale advisory projects in China. With experiences in a broad spectrum of industries and investment processes in China, he is capable of providing hands-on negotiation support to his clients and even facilitating an effective discussion with local management or government officials.
He involves actively in drafting China Valuation Standards/Guidelines, which include China Business Valuation Guidelines as released in early 2005. He is a member of China Valuation Standards Committee and has been frequently invited by China Appraisal Society and local State-owned Assets Administration Bureau to lecture on key valuation topics in nation-wide or provincial seminars and continuing education programs for CPVs. He has also been invited by various government authorities and institutions to deliver speeches on a wide variety of topics such as mergers & acquisitions, financing, investment and valuation in China and Asia Pacific region.
Nova received BBA (1st Honor) from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), a fellow member (FCCA) of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and the first and only non-Mainland China resident who is the Chinese Certified Public Valuer (CPV). |
