Phillip Mak is a partner in our Financial Services Tax group in Hong Kong and has been with PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong since 1993, having worked in Sydney prior to that. He has over 14 years experience in tax consulting gained in Hong Kong and Sydney. His major clients include banks, insurance and reinsurance companies, fund managers, and a few prominent companies in the fashion retail industry. His experience includes: advising reinsurance companies on the setting up of a regional headquarters in Hong Kong; advising on different insurance products; advising local and regional banks; and the regulatory and practical issues of retirement plans.
Phillip is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He holds a master of laws and is a non-practicing solicitor admitted in Hong Kong, NSW and England.
