Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

PwC China - Accounting services supplier 简体中文版

In August this year, all eyes will be on the Beijing Olympics.

We are proud to announce that the Beijing Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) has named PricewaterhouseCoopers Zhong Tian as the accounting services supplier of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

In this role, PwC will provide financial advisory services in areas of budgeting, financial planning, and internal-control to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and to China's Paralympics, BOCOG, the Chinese Olympic Committee and China's delegation of athletes.

This is the first time in history that China is hosting the Games.  Being named as the accounting services supplier is an honour not only for our 9,000 staff members in China/Hong Kong, but for the 146,000 PwC staff in 150 countries worldwide.

PwC's involvement with the Beijing Olympics began as early as 2000, when we provided financial advisory services to the bid committee.  In 2001, after Beijing won its bid, PwC turned its attention to providing advisory services during the tender for five major Olympic venues, including what will be the Olympics' architectural centrepiece: the National Stadium, also known as "The Nest".

The road leading to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games promises to be an exciting one, and we are proud of our association with this prestigious, world-class and historic event.
