Robert Keys is a Tax Partner in our International Assignment Solutions ("IAS") group in Hong Kong. He recently joined PricewaterhouseCoopers from another accounting firm. He has over 15 years experience in Tax, beginning his career in public accounting in San Francisco and has been in Hong Kong since 1993. He has extensive experience in advising multinational companies regarding the tax and human resources issues related to cross border transfers of people. This has included advising on and the development of tax equalization policies and incentive compensation plans, as well as assisting companies to create tax efficient employment structures for their local and expatriate employees. Rob also advises on the US tax implications various transactions (such as real estate, option exercises, etc.) for individual tax clients, as well as advising them on state residency and estate tax issues.
Rob's clients come from a broad range of industries, including financial institutions, energy producers, telecommunications companies, manufacturers and retail operators. He works closely with his clients to assist in the management of their expatriate programs, including providing creative solutions to manage their global tax exposure and other expatriate costs.
