Ruth is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, based in Beijing. Ruth leads our sustainability and climate change group in China, part of our global sustainability network which comprises over 800 business advisors in more than 40 countries. Ruth leads the provision of services to both multi-national and domestic clients in the areas of climate change and emission reductions, environmental health and safety management, social responsibility, corporate governance and business ethics, strategy and economics, responsible supply-chain management, and reporting and assurance of non-financial information. The sustainability and climate change team is also focussed on bringing a broad range of assurance, tax and advisory services to clients operating in greentech or cleantech markets. In this regard Ruth brings extensive knowledge in mergers and acquisitions and inward investment into China, having worked in M&A advisory for over 10 years. Ruth has been based in China continuously since 2001 when she moved to Shanghai with PwC. She transferred to Beijing in 2005. Prior to moving to China, Ruth was with PwC in London, where she provided M&A services to corporate and private equity clients in Europe and the US, and began her career in the banking and financial services team. In her spare time Ruth is involved with a local charity focussed on education for migrant children in Beijing, takes Chinese classes, and enjoys a variety of sports including running. Ruth is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England and Wales. |
