Our summer internship provides high calibre, penultimate year undergraduates with an opportunity to experience work and life at PwC. Join us and work alongside experienced professionals to develop new skills and qualities that will be valuable for your future career. We offer a limited number of internship opportunities in the following business areas:
Whichever of these you choose, you could find yourself arriving as a graduate with the skills and insights to hit the ground running! When and where do they run? Our Summer Internship commence in early July and last for around five weeks. Opportunities are available at PwC offices all over mainland China, giving you an even greater range of different experiences to choose from. Who are they for? If you are in the penultimate year of your business degree (i.e. your graduation year should be 2011) in one of the local universities, then you are eligible to join our internship programme. Besides a good academic record, you have to show your ability to provide excellent client service by knowing how to invest in relationships. You are also expected to share and collaborate with others and ultimately add value to the team. We regret we are unable to consider graduate application from any person who does not have a right of abode or an appropriate visa to be able to live and work in your preferred work location. What will you do? As an intern, you will be treated in much the same way as our regular graduate intake. Over your time with us you will be exposed to a wide range of work and clients, and will be expected to make a valuable contribution throughout. If that sounds daunting, don't worry: you will not be thrown in at the deep end straight away. You will start with a training programme to provide general and specific technical skills you will need to fulfil your responsibilities. It will prove a steep learning curve and you may feel stretched at times, but we will provide all the support you need. For instance, you will have a 'buddy' to answer your questions and to help inform your development. You will also receive regular feedback on your performance from your 'career coach'. What you will get out of the internship? Most importantly, our internships are designed to give you a real-life view of what a graduate career with PwC would be like. You'll be able to learn first-hand information if this is the career for you. If it is, and you perform well, you may return to your degree with an offer of a job for when you graduate. Beyond this, our aim is to raise both your commercial awareness and interpersonal skills to new levels. By experiencing life inside the world's leading professional services firm, you will develop many such new skills and qualities, standing you in good stead for the future, whatever you do.
