About PwC’s Government and Public Sector Advisory practice

Our Government and Public Sector advisory practice works with government and public sector organisations at all levels to help formulate and implement responses to the challenges and opportunities presented by the demanding and changing political and business environment.  Our involvement in public sector administration and reform is extensive, and covers public policy and strategy (including business planning and options evaluation, and regulatory impact assessment), infrastructure and real estate procurement, economic analysis and market/sector reviews, service procurement strategy and support (including private sector involvement and outsourcing), performance and process improvement, corporate governance, programme and project management, and information system strategy and selection (including technology and security assessment, and data management).


Job description and responsibilities

As an Associate, you will provide support on client assignments that help to deliver effective public policy. You will work with clients to identify, clarify and resolve their strategic and operating success issues by thoroughly preparing for and conducting interviews, gathering required data, executing required analyses, identifying issues and problems, and recommending approaches to address them, testing quality of data and reconciling data across sources, presenting facts and evidence in meetings and serving as an effective support resource to team in client meetings. You will also work in the project teams to prepare proposal and bidding documents and conduct market search, and perform data collection, compilation and analysis.



  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in management disciplines (e.g. Business Administration) or disciplines with strong analytical discipline  (e.g. Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science) or similar qualifications
  • A passion for Government and Infrastructure in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area
  • Project or research experience in any of our areas of focus mentioned above
  • Practical experience working with or in public sector organisations (desirable)
  • Strong analytical mindset and creative problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and able to work under pressure
  • Team player
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is essential, and Mandarin is desirable.
