Global and China/Hong Kong Risk Assurance Leader
Jim leads PwC's Risk & Regulatory Services practice in the Asia Pacific region, with more than 200 partners and directors, and 3,000 professional staff. Services include Big Data & Analytics, Cyber Security, IT Risk, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Financial Crime/AML and Regulatory Compliance. Risk solutions span all industry sectors, with Financial Services institutions representing a key sector of focus.
His collaborative working style, and commitment and dedication to help organizations and their people succeed, have resulted in deep trust based relationships with his clients and PwC colleagues alike. Jim provides confidence and peace of mind to enable decision makers to make informed choices, in a world of increasing complexity, risk and uncertainty.
Jim's clients have included many of PwC's most prestigious accounts. Based in Hong Kong, over the last 20 years he has worked on assignments in every territory across the Asia Pacific region.
Jim served as the Strategy Leader for the Assurance business in China/Hong Kong between 2006 and 2011, and in this role was a member of the PwC Global Assurance Strategy Team. He was also a member of the China/Hong Kong Firm's Supervisory Board from 2006 to 2010.
Jim graduated from Kings College London in 1990 with a first class honours degree in Biological Chemistry. He is a member of the ICAEW and the HKICPA. In 2008 he spent 3 months on a leadership development programme in Peru, and in 2011 he attended an Executive Education programme at Harvard Business School.
In a personal capacity, Jim is a passionate runner having taken part in 15 marathons around the world. He's married to Vaughn and they have 2 children.
