Hello, my name is Stanley. I joined PwC in 2019 and currently serve at Integrated Urban Services under ESG.

As the newest division, One Firm Services engages in business offerings that are current and challenging. The Innovative Urbanisation Service Team is at the forefront of learning about national and city development policies and providing one-stop professional service support, from strategy to implementation for government and district development.

My undergraduate major is Finance, and my graduate major is Management Science & Data Analytics. My current work is not an exact match to my majors. For example, I learnt to make data analysis using Python during my graduate studies. Although this isn’t directly applicable to my work in government service, the thinking behind data analysis makes me think more logically at work. With my background, core financial knowledge helps me make the financial calculations for government development projects. So, no matter what you study, it will come into use, even in communication with clients; this can reflect our diverse backgrounds.

After joining PwC, I am increasingly impressed by the diversity of the businesses here. Take One Firm Services as an example; we have colleagues who studied different majors, which helps address different business needs, such as food science, marketing and education. We even have colleagues who studied Architectural Environment & Equipment Engineering in charge of ESG related projects (an investment concept focusing on corporate environmental, social and governance performance).
