Bo Yu has been with PwC China in Beijing Office for 12 years since graduation from the University of International Business and Economics. Bo holds a bachelor degree of economic law.
Bo Yu has built up very solid networking relationship with key government authorities, including Ministry of Commerce, State Administration of Industry and Commerce, State Administration of Taxation, SAFE, etc. He has presented often about various regulatory and tax topics to Chambers of Commerce of various countries in Beijing.
Bo Yu is fluent in oral and written English and Mandarin. He is a member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also Fellow member of the Association of Registered Tax Agent in China.
Bo Yu has experiences in a wide spectrum of products offered by Tax Services. He started his career first in International Assignment Services (“IAS”), helping expatriates with their PRC salary tax planning from 1999 to 2000. In 2001, he transferred to PRC Corporate Tax team, where he gained hands-on experiences in tax planning, compliance and was involved in some M&A deals. In 2003 and 2004, he was sent to Hong Kong on a duty of tour basis to learn providing regulatory and tax advice for foreign companies to enter into China.
Since 2004, Bo Yu has been nominated as group manager for China Investment Business Advisory (“CIBA”) Team under Tax Services. CIBA Team led by Bo Yu has helped numerous foreign investors design China entry strategy, set up appropriate structure and restructure as they expand in China. Bo Yu is heavily involved in advising investment / restructure / exit strategy of multi-national companies into China.
Bo Yu also has a focus in the tax incentives for high-tech industry covering internet contents providers and R&D centres established by Multinationals in China.
