Groundbreaking of “Reimagine Park” - an innovative solutions co-creation platform with state-of-the-art design and technology

Located in Haitang Bay of Sanya, the Park targets to open in 2025

Sanya, 18 April 2023 – With the theme “Reimagine – The Future Starts here”, the groundbreaking ceremony of Reimagine Park in Sanya City, Hainan Province, marked the start of a unique journey to create an innovative solution co-creation platform - a critical pillar of PwC China’s “The New Equation” strategy to empower sustainability, digital innovation and talent development.

Raymund Chao, Chairman of PwC Asia Pacific and China, said: “Reimagine Park will be a platform where key stakeholders - businesses, governments and our communities - can come together to co-create solutions for a new and dynamic era. The Park will create value and showcase PwC’s innovative solutions in digital and ESG by leveraging our firm’s global network and resources. With a mission of connecting people, the environment and technology, Reimagine Park is the perfect hub where a community of solvers come together to create a sustainable future.”

The design of the Park is technology-driven and people-centric. It will adopt cutting-edge environmental protection technology and feature low-carbon construction methods, along with green transportation and energy management systems. With humanity’s relationship with the natural world and the need to strengthen biodiversity as its key concerns, the Park will play a pivotal role to contribute to the transformation of today’s agriculture by leveraging Hainan’s natural resources and exploring solutions for sustainable food supply chains and greater food security.

The People's Government of Sanya City, the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province and the Education Department of Hainan Province all attended the ceremony. PwC established a presence in Hainan in 2018 – the first international professional services firm to do so. Reimagine Park represents a significant milestone in the ever-deepening collaboration between PwC and the Government of Hainan Province. ​
