Economist, PwC China
Dr. Jackie Yan is PwC China’s Economist, specialising in economics, policy and strategy research. He provides valuable insights to the firm’s senior leaders and major clients, and authors the firm’s flagship report, China Economic Quarterly. Prior to joining PwC, Dr. Yan pursued an academic career as a professor, teaching international business, economics and strategy at the University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore. His research covers industrial policy and economic growth, global value chains, multinational corporation strategies, and corporate internationalisation. Recognised for his expertise, Dr. Yan is a sought-after speaker at global conferences. He also serves on the editorial board and as a reviewer for leading business and economics journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and Strategic Organisation. He holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore and a BA from Fudan University.
