PwC recognised for trusted AI innovation with NEXX AI and Innovation Award 2026

PwC is honoured to receive the NEXX AI and Innovation Award 2026. Now in its second year, the award recognises practical, responsible and trusted AI innovation that benefits the workforce.

We continue to invest globally in order to scale our AI capabilities and ensure our people benefit from AI innovation. Taking a ‘PwC as Client Zero’ approach, we are adopting GenAI at scale internally, so our people can work differently, gain insights, and move faster. We then apply those lessons with our clients.

ChatPwC, our own AI solution, has adopted a two-pronged approach—localised for both the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong SAR to meet regulatory, data residency, and security requirements.

AI Unbound featuring TED 

On 9 Dec 2025, we hosted PwC’s AI Unbound featuring TED series in Hong Kong. Under the theme “East meets West: Value creation in the AI era,” the event highlighted how China’s innovation energy merges with global AI advancements to unlock tremendous value across industries.

From the opening remarks made by our Chair and CEO, Hemione Hudson, to the keynote speech delivered by Ms. Lillian Cheong, JP, Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of The Government of Hong Kong SAR, on the opportunities and challenges of Gen AI applications in Hong Kong and the GBA, the energy in the room was incredible. The participants were deeply inspired by Dr Jonnie Penn, a TED speaker and Associate Teaching Professor of AI Ethics and Society at the University of Cambridge, whose reflections on how Eastern and Western AI ecosystems can complement each other, as well as by Joe Atkinson, our Global Chief AI Officer’s global perspective on how AI is already reshaping industries and the economy. Our alliance partners from Microsoft and Huawei, together with our panel and fireside chat speakers, brought to life what an AI-powered future in our region could look like.
