Chief Risk & Regulatory Officer, PwC China
Peter Li is the Chief Risk & Regulatory Officer and a member of the Management Board of PwC China. He provides overall leadership in these core function of R&R including Audit Independences & Compliance, Risk Governance, Ethics & Conducts, Regulatory Liaison and Crisis Management.
Peter has worked as an accounting and auditing professional for more than 30 years in Hong Kong, Australia, and Southeast Asia. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds professional qualifications in Australia and Hong Kong. He has a long history of providing assurance and advisory services to clients in the financial services industry and has worked in policy development on a range of topics for a regulator in Hong Kong.
Peter has worked extensively with and supported a large range of international, regional, and local financial services clients in both the private and public sectors on financial statement audits, internal controls reviews, regulatory compliance and investigations, governance, and risk management engagements.
Peter is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance, Convenor of Surveillance and Governance Committee of the Treasury Markets Association, and a panel member of Insurance Appeal Tribunal in Hong Kong. Peter holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney, a Master of Economics Degree from Macquarie University of Australia.
Within PwC, Peter was previously the Financial Services Assurance Leader and Banking and Capital Markets Leader in Hong Kong.
