Supporting welfare service to adopt automation and robotics technology

Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association Social Service Centre (AKWA) is a well-respected non-profit organisation with a long history serving the Southern districts in Hong Kong. With its belief in CHARM (Care, Helpfulness, Accessibility, Reliability and Mutuality), AKWA strives to improve and transform its service delivery for the wellbeing of its broad spectrum of users (kai-fong/街坊).

Our partnership began with AKWA's aspiration to adopt automation and robotics technology in its meal delivery service to the elderly. This project provides the opportunity for our consulting team to understand, in both strategic and operational context, how technology and professional expertise can improve the overall performance of services, while making a meaningful impact for the elderly and their carers. At the same time, our project management team also allows AKWA to experience how IT implementation could be managed in an effective and timely manner.

Our trusting collaboration continues with AKWA’s ventures in district health services, seeking to leverage data analytics to integrate and strengthen the portfolio of services in a user-centric manner for the coming years.

We look forward to further opportunities to share our professional experiences and insights in frontier technologies to reimagine welfare service delivery for society, and making a difference for those in need.
