Q1: How did you come to know the X-Venturer programme?

I was introduced to this programme during my onboarding. I was very fortunate to join as the first batch of X-Venturer.

Q2: Why were you interested in the X-Venturer programme?

I was interested in the valuable opportunity of which the X-Venturer programme would bring, which was the chance to experience multiple lines of services namely tax, audit and advisory.  

Working in teams with different expertise for a diverse range of clients, challenges you to develop a multi-faceted perspective in tackling challenges, gain a range of technical and soft skills and better understand what type of work and team culture would best suit you.

Q3: How long have you been on the X-Venturer programme? Can you share your adventurous journey with us?

My 2 years in the program involved rotations to Assurance, Consulting, Risk Assurance and Deals (Business Recovery Services).  One of the strengths of PwC is our people. I could feel the support from my seniors for each job, and insights from colleagues have been a great help to guide me through my professional development. After the X-Venturer program, I joined Business Recovery Services as a Senior Associate.

Q4: As ‘X-Venturer’ derives from the word ‘venture’, would you call yourself an adventurer?

Yes! Every work venture leads to clarity and wisdom.

Q5: What kind of opportunities do you think the X-Venturer programme offered you? Does it help you grow as expected?

The nature of the X-Venturer program reinforces the importance of being agile and adaptable, particularly when facing the ever-changing requirements of today’s business landscape. The program also allowed me to connect with resourceful individuals from multiple lines of services, further expanding my professional network.

Q6: What would you say to candidates who apply for the X-Venturer programme this year?

Be ready and open to new opportunities, remember to speak up and connect more, and last but not least, enjoy the journey!
