James Chang is the partner managing PwC China’s consulting practice, leading teams to provide a variety of professional solutions – ranging from enterprise strategy, corporate function transformation, digital & technology innovation, M&A, risk and regulatory compliance - for leading clients in China’s financial services, consumer, health, TMT and industrial products services industries. Before returning to China in 2009, James was a Partner based in PwC New York office. Prior to PwC, he worked with several Wall Street investment houses. James graduated from the Stern School of Business, New York University with an MBA degree. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Public Account (CPA) of New York State. James also completed the LPSF (Leading Professional Service Firms) Executive Training Program from the Harvard Business School.
James is a frequent speaker at various conferences, seminars and symposiums, delivering speeches on topics such as digital transformation, fit for growth, workforce of the future, green finance, as well as global financial regulatory reforms. In 2016, James represented PwC as the Knowledge Partner for the B20 Financing Growth Taskforce to produce policy recommendation report for the 2016 G20 Summit, a majority of these policy recommendations are reflected in the official 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit Communiqué.
