This paper presents PwC's views on the benefits of digital twins, a model for assessing the approach for development of a fit-for-purpose digital twin, a development framework outlining key elements of a digital twin ecosystem and examples of how digital twins haven been used in other cities. The paper also discussed common challenges encountered when implementing digital twins as well as the way forward and opportunities for digital twin development in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
