PwC wins the IFF Global Green Finance Award for the second consecutive year

October 2023

The International Finance Forum (IFF), in collaboration with the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality, successfully co-hosted the 20th Anniversary & 2023 Annual Meeting of the IFF. The prestigious even took place from October 27 to 29 at the newly constructed permanent venue of the IFF on Nansha’s Hengli Island (International Finance Island) in Guangzhou, China.

PwC, the recipient of the “Award of the Year” in the previous year, once again scored added another prestigious accolade this year by winning the “Innovation Award” at the "IFF Global Green Finance Award" (4th Session) ceremony took held on October 29. Among the 23 domestic and international winners of the IFF Global Green Finance Award, PwC stands out as the sole consulting service provider to receive this honour, and one of the few to be recognised with the such award for two consecutive years. Joanne Wang, Deputy to the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress and Guangdong Markets Leader of PwC China, attended the award ceremony and closing reception.

The assessment of this year’s IFF Global Green Finance Award placed greater emphasis on utilising financial means to drive green development, and as such engaged a more diverse panel of judges comprising representatives from various industry institutions. The evaluation process highlighted the importance of innovation and tangible outcomes by assigning higher weights to these aspects.
