Disability inclusion is a core priority across our global network. To build trust and deliver sustained outcomes, we are committed to attracting and nurturing diverse talents with a wide range of skills and perspectives. This enables all our people to participate fully and thrive equally.

At PwC, we firmly believe that a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture empower individuals and create differentiated value, fueling inclusive and sustainable growth. In recent years, we have undertaken numerous initiatives to advance disability inclusion, dedicated to removing barriers to social participation for persons with disabilities.

These efforts are grounded in our commitment to fostering an environment where people with disabilities are included, feel empowered to be themselves and have access to the support and adjustments they need to thrive.

Our goal of building a more diverse community of professionals presents the opportunity to better include people with disabilities and those who care for them. We are committed to fostering an environment where people with disabilities are included, feel empowered to be themselves and have access to the support and adjustments they need to thrive.

In 2022, we released our networks first Global Disability Inclusion Strategy, focused on enhancing the lives of people with disabilities at PwC and those who have caring responsibilities, as well as people in the wider communities in which we work. This strategy articulates our vision and the areas we will focus on to drive change across the network.

Our disability inclusion strategy is structured around six strategic focus areas: Leadership commitment, Talent and representation, Culture of awareness, Adjustments and support, Data and self-identification, and Accessibility.

PwC Inclusive Career Discovery Programme

This flagship PwC programme is designed to eliminate barriers and advance equal employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

The name reflects our dual commitment: fostering a culture where everyone is valued (“Inclusive”) and empowering individuals through career exploration (“Career Discovery”). We connect diverse talent, cultivate a supportive workplace, and foster mutual growth to drive positive change.

We achieve this through internships, employment opportunities, mentoring, professional training, Open Day events, and scholarships. Together, these initiatives enhance employability, guide career planning, support social integration, and empower participants to embrace their unique identities.

PwC Para-Athlete Ambassador Programme

Our athlete employees are not only outstanding competitors but also vital advocates for disability inclusion. With strong support from PwC, they have achieved remarkable success at major international events including the Paris 2024 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Beyond their sporting excellence, these colleagues play a dual role as ambassadors of inclusion—promoting a culture of respect, equality, and integration within our firm and across wider society. This initiative highlights how we empower employees with disabilities to inspire change, accelerate the development of parasports, and drive sustainable social progress together.

PwC Inclusion Art Class – Chinese Painting Foundation

As part of our effort to promote an inclusive culture, the PwC Inclusion Art Class integrates traditional Chinese painting with disability awareness. Participants learn fundamental techniques and appreciate classical masterpieces in an accessible format—lessons are delivered in sign language by artist Jingyang Shi, with voice-over and interpretation by colleague Bingou Chen. The creative team of the basic Chinese painting course is composed of PwC staff with disabilities.

Each session also includes practical guidance on supporting people with disabilities and basic sign language phrases.

This innovative program aims to deepen public understanding of both traditional arts and the unique strengths of people with disabilities, fostering a more inclusive and harmonious society.

PwC Employment Base in Beijing

Since 2018, in response to the Beijing Disabled Persons’ Federation’s initiative to create supportive employment bases, PwC has pioneered a dedicated platform creating meaningful job opportunities for people with severe disabilities. This base helps facilitate social integration through stable employment and is strengthened by a diverse volunteer team that regularly engages with employees.

Additionally, as a representative social enterprise, PwC has joined the Chaoyang District Disability Volunteer Service Team to further contribute to building a more accessible and sustainable environment for all.
