The wave of technology, centred on information technology, is continuing to have a profound impact on the way we live and work, with informatisation becoming the new norm. Times of uncertainty have also presented challenges to traditional on-site auditing methods. There is an urgent need for innovation and change in how to make better use of information technology and how to combine it with traditional experience to develop more up-to-date audit plans.
As an important initiative for audit change and in line with PwC's global transformation, we have set up a Remote Team Member (RTM) Centre in Wuhan to provide high-quality audit services to our clients by working remotely with our engagement teams. The RTM Centre is a natural extension of PwC's leading global delivery capabilities, using standardised working models, flexible resource scheduling and digital applications to improve audit efficiency and quality. We provide premium, efficient and high-quality services to enhance process quality management capability and delivery capacity to better serve our clients.
Flexibility
RTM reduces business travel and inefficient overtime through the use of flexible remote working methods, improves the quality management of the audit process and delivery capability, and increases staff motivation and efficiency through systematic resource planning. In addition, RTM reduces the burden of business travel on employees and enables them to achieve a better work-life balance.
Team stability
RTM maintains a permanent team of partners, which allows for ongoing day-to-day coaching, builds trust, and improves work efficiency, leading to the sustainable development of both the audit business and teamwork.
Standardisation
RTM integrates the audit processes and procedures and adopts a relatively standardised approach to audit work. This improves audit quality while ensuring the integrity of the audit processes.
Digitalisation
RTM uses many of PwC's cutting-edge digital tools in its regular working process, improving audit efficiency and driving the digital transformation from traditional audit to intelligent audit.
Growth
RTM provides personal learning and growth opportunities for employees at all levels. Senior Associates are not only responsible for performing relevant audit work but are also required to manage and coach team members, making full use of their project management and multitasking skills. Associates are teamed by industry, which allows them to gain broader exposure to industry-related accounting knowledge and practical experience in specific industries.
Diversity
RTM plans to expand its business beyond traditional audit services. Leveraging on the audit experiences gained from serving different companies within the industry, RTM will offer a more diversified range of services, drawing on industry research and insights.
