Frequently ask questions

Q1: I'm not a business student, and I have no relevant internship experience. Can I apply through PwC's website?
At PwC, we welcome students from all majors; such as art, history, science and engineering. For our employees, we will arrange online courses and training six months after the offer, this is to help them acquire basic financial knowledge, theory, and pass qualification examinations. Once you're fully on board, there will also be two weeks of in-house training.
We have a full set of classroom learning programmes tailored to your educational background, as well as on-the-job learning on various projects, which we believe will help you quickly adapt to work and guide you on your journey.
Q2: What is Game-Based Assessment (GBA)? If I am not familiar with playing electronic games, would it affect my performance in this assessment?
Though there's a 'game' in its name, it is different from the online games or mobile games that we usually play. The use of a gaming interface allows you to complete the ability and personality assessment in a more relaxed environment.
Each task in the evaluation is carefully designed and is intuitive and easy to operate. No special techniques or experience are required to complete the tasks. Moreover, it has been proven through extensive tests that there is no significant difference between skilled game players and novice users in their evaluation performance. Therefore, you should not worry about the assessment, nor believe any agency that claims they can train you for a better score.
Q3: Will the invitation of GBA be received after the online application is passed?
After submitting the online application, you will automatically receive an evaluation invitation sent by our system. Every student who completes the online application will have the opportunity to experience the GBA.
Q4: Will the Game-Based Assessment (GBA) and the video interview take place at the same time, or separately?
They are two different screening processes. Once all students have completed the GBA, we will take full consideration of your CV and GBA performance, then select and send out video interview invitations in line with our offline interview schedule, in the period between October and November.
Q5: What are PwC's criteria when assessing applicants and staff's performance?
PwC's dimensions are based on PwC Professional, which includes comprehensive leadership, business acumen, relationship expansion, global inclusive thinking, and professional digital skills, etc. Under each module, there are two levels of dimensions and requirements needed to refine these capabilities. PwC's selection criteria are also based on the comprehensive qualities of the applicants.
With promotion in work, different modules in the framework require more complicated requirements for individual capabilities. For example, as a manager, you will need skills more than what matches your job level, such as abilities as junior and senior staff.
PwC's performance dimension aids our career & personal development and enables us to provide real-time or regular feedback, guiding us to stand out from the ever-changing digital age.
Q1: What can I gain by participating in the Edge program?
• Strong professional network. You'll have numerous opportunities to develop relationships across PwC teams and beyond your national boundaries. You'll attend international events that focus on you, your learning and your network.

• Match your skills. Build knowledge working in teams in a talent-rich environment, listening and being listened to, helping you choose a specific industry and Deals area you want to specialise in.
