PwC rated as a Leader in Asia Pacific Cyber Security Consulting Providers by Independent Research Firm

‘PwC excels in a range of strategic and technical competencies, leading with culture.’

PwC announced that it was cited as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Cybersecurity Consulting Providers in Asia Pacific, Q4 2021.

In the report, Forrester notes that ‘Asia Pacific (APAC) firms need cybersecurity consulting providers that bring lessons and solutions from more mature and innovative markets. To differentiate in 2021 and beyond, providers have to upend everything about their business models, including pricing, offering innovative IP, attracting excellent staff, and helping chief information security officers (CISOs) engage with execs. Why? The pandemic hit the region’s firms in different ways. Some lost staff to hiring freezes and furloughs; others had to put projects on hold and do more with less. The impact on firms in areas less affected by COVID-19 were smaller, requiring minimal changes from providers. At the same time, boards and regulators in APAC are paying more attention to security. This scrutiny requires APAC CISOs to rethink how they execute their security program, putting pressure on cybersecurity consulting providers, which face their own pandemic-related turmoil.’

‘Cybersecurity consulting customers in APAC should look for providers that:

  • Attract and retain the best talent;
  • Challenge you to use remote work delivery models, even post-pandemic;
  • Offer services aligned with cybersecurity’s future, not its past.’

Commenting on PwC, the report states that: ‘PwC excels in a range of strategic and technical competencies, leading with culture. PwC has a clear, differentiated vision based on trust, purpose, and sustainable outcomes, leveraging its strong brand presence to engage globally and locally in the region.’

It further notes that: ‘PwC’s deliverables across a range of strategic and technical competencies such as incident response, privacy, cybersecurity culture, and application security were of exceptional quality. PwC continued its focus on differentiated board- and executive-level IP, such as Value at Risk and Game of Threats.’

Siva Krishnan, Partner, PwC India, Cyber Risk and Regulatory leader for Asia, says, ‘We are proud for the PwC Cyber, Risk and Reg practice to be recognized by independent analyst firms as a leader in cybersecurity consulting firms in Asia Pacific. We believe the findings in this report demonstrate our commitment to empowering a new cyber culture in the region - one that can generate more value for business leaders, all while protecting the people, processes, and technologies necessary for profitable growth and building trust and more sustained cyber outcomes for our clients.’
